Brecon Horseshoe Challenge, August 22nd

In 2008 we successfully completed a walk up Mount Snowdon in memory of David Lennox and for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).

Thanks to the generosity of our patients and sponsors we raised a fantastic £3000+!!

We would like to continue supporting MNDA so this year we are hoping to complete the Brecon Beacons Horseshoe Challenge which is a 10 mile walk over the three highest peaks of the Beacons.

National Smile Month with Smile Studio Penarth

Patients were treated to a healthy apple and bottle of spring water during Smile Studio’s promotion of National Smile Month. The Practice was displaying good foods and bad foods promoting awareness of a healthy diet.  Dental care professional Tracey Morris was on hand during the day to offer advice and encouragement to patients and visitors to the practice.

Practice News

The Practice is a proud sponsor of MND (Motor Neurone Disease) and our team raised £4000 climbing Snowdon.

Congratulations to Smile Studio Penarth Dental Practice who climbed Snowdon on 27th September 2008 in memory of David Lennox who ran the practice from 2001 to 2003 .

The Practice raised a fantastic £4180 for Motor Neurone Disease and they would like to thank the kind generosity of their patients, suppliers and also Lloyds Bank for sponsoring them £1 for £1.

The summit was reached in 4 hours and although a bit sore and tired the team of 13 had a fantastic day and are looking forward to their next challenge, Kilimanjaro!!!!

Sarah Cuffin - Principal Practitioner
BDS Lond, LDS RCS Eng 1990. GDC No. 65698
Sarah has a special interest in Cosmetic Dentistry. She has also qualified to the Advanced Level in Facial Aesthetics.

Dr Huw Thomas - Associate Dentist
BDS Wales 1986. GDC No. 61458
Huw has worked at the practice since 1990 and provides general and cosmetic dentistry. 

Simon Hill – Implantologist
BDS Wales 1996. GDC No. 72727
Simon is currently completing his masters level qualification in Implantology. Simon has extensive experience placing Implants and has a 99% success rate. He also speaks at Implant seminars internationally.

 

Anna Davies - Associate Dentist
BDS Wales 2003. GDC No. 82418
Anna has a special interest in Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics. She is also qualified to carry out the Invisalign treatment.

 

 

Dental Hygienists

Heather Lewis
CEB in Dental Hygiene 1982.  GDC No. 2430
Heather has worked at Smile Studio Penarth since 2005. In addition to her 2 days a week at the practice Heather edits Dental Health which is the official journal of the British Society of Dental Hygienists and Therapy. She also writes for the DHC Contacts which is the newsletter for the above journal.

Karen Rees

Karen has worked at Smile Studio Penarth since 2007 and shares her working week with Heather.
