Treatment for Children
It is recommended that children should go to the dentist with their parents as soon as possible. You should take them regularly, as often as your dentist recommends. This will let them get used to the noises, smells and surrundings and prepare them for future visits. The earlier these visits begin the more relaxed the children will be. We continue to see children on an NHS basis where their examinations and treatment is free of charge.
We also provide a Children's Hygiene Plan and further treatments that are not available within the NHS.
Children's Hygiene Plan £3.70 per month
- Two annual hygiene treatments with our Hygienist
- 10% reduction in private fees for tooth coloured fillings
- 5% discount off oral hygiene products
Sports Mouth Guards – Sports mouth gaurds have been proven to prevent and reduce the damage caused to teeth following trauma. We can provide professionally made custom mouth gaurds for those actively involved in sport. Our mouth gaurds are comfortable and come in an array of colours and pattens.
Fissure Sealants – Sealants are a safe and painless way of protecting your teeth from decay. A sealant is a protective plastic coating, which is applied to the biting surface of the back teeth. The sealant forms a hard shielkd that keeps food and bacteria from getting into the tiny grooves in the teeth and causing decay. Sealants are provided within the Nhs where needed however, they can also be provided privatley for those parents that wish to prevent future problems of decay by having their childrens permanent molar/premolars sealed in this way.
Cosmetic Treatment – Although routinley treatment of this nature ( toothcoloured fillings, tooth whitening, Crowns, Bridges) are not carried out until the child reaches the age of 18 we realise sometimes that improvement in a childs smile can benefit their wellbeing. All options would be discussed at the childs examination.
